TotallyAwesome USD 10 million capital raise Partners For Growth

TotallyAwesome had successfully raised USD 10 million seed funding (as a mix of debt and equity) through San Francisco-based Venture Debt Provider, Partners For Growth.  Yefira Group took the equity round itself.

TotallyAwesome is first and only kid-safe/teen-safe digital advertising network that operates across Asia-Pacific. They tackle the key challenge that their clients (including Brands / Government bodies/ Trade Media/ Publishers) would face to ensure their digital communication to kids and teens complies with strict data privacy laws such as GDPR-K (EU and UK), COPPA (US) and other local data privacy standards and regulations. Coupled with TotallyAwesome’s bespoke process of discovery, curation, moderation and enrichment of over 1000’s of apps, websites, games and YouTube channels across Asia-Pacific providing access to over 500 million under-18 Monthly Active Users across APAC, the business at its core is also empowered by a transparent media trading model enabling Media Agencies to optimise their media margin on all TotallyAwesome’s kids, teens and family inventory via an API plug-in into TotallyAwesome’s Operating System, the Dynamic Pricing as a Service (DPaaS) model. The DPaaS model had ingested 3 years of proprietary media buying rates data, to predict both the floor and ceiling of media spots, enabling Media Agencies to hedge and maximise their margin as they buy media for their clients - by hour, by day, by seasonality, without impacting quality, reach or effectiveness.

TotallyAwesome will use the proceeds to further solidify their first mover advantage in APAC & invest in market product development to evolve its enterprise advertising platform and to cement long term brand loyalty, alongside which the company also aims to ramp up the hiring across its sales, data science and machine learning teams, as well as to explore strategic mergers and acquisitions to accelerate growth. The company also endeavours to further expand its footprint across key strategic markets such as Indonesia, the Philippines, Japan and Australia.
