The transaction involves the sale of 70% of the shares of the companies that form the Barge Bulk Business of the Dos Santos Group to DP World Ltd. (Dubai Ports), through its subsidiary P&O Maritime. P&O Maritime is headquartered in Melbourne, Australia In terms of operating assets, the Barge Bulk Business of the Dos Santos Group is composed of three convoys. Each convoy includes a 4,800 HP push tug boat and 12 barges with a loading capacity of 2,600 MT each, and each convoy can transport 300,000 MT per annum Alpax acted as exclusive financial advisor to the Dos Santos Group.
