CycloM acquired by Bike Republic

Transaction:

As of 1 September, Bike Republic acquires two new stores. With the acquisition of CycloM in Aalst and Ninove, Bike Republic’s store counter grows to 27 spread across Flanders.

VDP acted as advisor to the seller.

CycloM:

CycloM, led by Marijn Van den Bleeken and Kerstin Hillmayer, evolved in no time into a fast-growing bicycle specialist with a focus on e-bikes. CycloM guarantees quality, a personal approach and excellent service. Nothing will change, because the motivated team that has made CycloM a success story in recent years will remain the same.

Bike Republic:

Bike Republic and Colruyt Group decided to join forces in 2019. By acquiring Bike Republic, Colruyt Group is further investing in sustainable mobility and stimulating sustainable commuting. Bike Republic is expanding at a rapid pace, but there is a reason for this: it wants to become the reference in Belgium in the field of cycling and smart mobility. In the coming years there are plans to open about 50 to 60 stores.
