FRP are pleased to have advised Norfolk headquartered high voltage infrastructure services business, EAST Solutions (Energy and System Technical Limited), on securing a majority investment from a UK based family office, Pallant Capital.
EAST Solutions, the trading name of MBA High Voltage Holdings Limited, is an independent connection provider supporting the delivery of high voltage electrical infrastructure across the UK. The business provides turnkey high voltage engineering solutions, spanning design, new connections, private network installation, operations and maintenance, with in-house capabilities that allow it to support clients from planning through to energisation.
Established in 2009, EAST Solutions has built a strong track record delivering projects of varying complexity across the UK, with capabilities spanning projects up to 132kV. The business serves a broad client base ranging from regional enterprises to blue chip corporates and public sector organisations.
FRPs Norwich Corporate Finance team was appointed by EAST Solutions’ shareholders to explore options for investment to support the next stage of the company’s development. The team was tasked with preparing the business for market, identifying potential strategic and financial investors, and securing a partner capable of supporting EAST Solutions’ long-term growth ambitions.
Following a competitive process, Pallant Capital was selected as the preferred partner. FRP acted as lead adviser throughout the transaction, leading commercial negotiations, project managing the transaction through to completion and coordinating key workstreams alongside legal advisers Mills & Reeve. FRPs tax advisory team also supported the shareholders as part of the transaction.
Pallant has now taken a majority stake in EAST Solutions, providing an exit event for one retiring shareholder while enabling the existing management team to continue leading the business as it seeks to further expand its market presence.
