FRP are pleased to have supported Leeds-based specialist law firm, Hawkswell Kilvington, on its sale to Beyond Law Group.
Founded in 2005, Hawkswell Kilvington has built a national reputation providing legal services to the construction and engineering sectors, acting for domestic and multinational companies on contracts across the UK and overseas. The firm is listed in the Legal 500 for its work across all areas of construction and engineering law, from contracts and sub-contract negotiation to dispute resolution. It has now been acquired by Manchester-based Beyond Law Group, which owns and operates specialist legal practices including Beyond Corporate, McAlister Family Law, Home Property Law and Vault Private Client.
FRP’s Corporate Finance team from our Manchester office, led by Partner Daniel Brecker, alongside Manager George Barron and Assistant Manager Rhain Davis was appointed to advise Hawkswell Kilvington on the deal, based on our reputation for quality of service and sector-specific expertise. The team supported on all aspects of the transaction, from managing deal workstreams and negotiations through to completion mechanisms.
The deal brings together Hawkswell Kilvington’s 20-strong award-winning team with Beyond Corporate’s Construction team to establish a strengthened national construction offering. The firm’s existing management team of Daniel Silberstein and Thomas Salter will continue to lead the day-to-day management of the practice alongside Beyond Corporate Partner James Flynn, with a remit to drive growth, both organically and through further acquisitions.
