Corporacion Favorita (Ecuador) has acquired Kiwy, the leading Home Improvement Retail operation in Ecuador.
Corporacion Favorita is Ecuador's largest public company and leading retailer, with sales of US$800 million in 2005; its brand names include SuperMaxi, MegaMaxi, Aki, Gran Aki and Sukasa.
Comercial Kywi ("Kywi") is a 62 year-old operation with a strong presence in the hardware and home-center segments.
