Graduate in Business Administration and Management from the UIC. MBA and PADE from IESE Business School (University of Navarra).
After a few years as an Auditor at KPMG, he soon moved on to occupy management positions in companies in various sectors. For more than 20 years he has been a top executive in large national and international business groups, both family-owned and with private equity participation, in sectors such as mass distribution (Adeo-Leroy Merlin Group), media & entertainment (Hachette Distribution Services-Lagardere), fashion and retail (Artsana-Prenatal Group).
Throughout his career as a top executive he has led change, internationalisation, operational-financial restructuring and M&A projects.
As an Independent Board Member and Business and Business Advisor, he sits on several Boards of Directors, where, in addition to providing his strategic vision, he advises shareholder groups in the area of corporate governance and succession plans.
He is a Professor in the Department of Finance at ESADE, where he teaches courses in both the BBA and the MsC in Finance. He is also a great expert in the entrepreneurial ecosystem and the creation of startups and new business models, areas in which from UIC Barcelona, as Director of the Master in Entrepreneurship and Venture Capital, has played a relevant role in the training and development of entrepreneurs.
Rafael has been a Partner at Ineo Corporate since 2019.
