Steve Jacobs

Biography

President and Co-Founder of BCC Advisers, Steve specializes in merger and acquisition services assisting shareholders and managers identify and accomplish business transfer, corporate finance and business planning objectives. With over 40 years of experience in the financial services industry, structuring and negotiating transactions and advising companies on financial matters, Steve works with business owners in a variety of industries and markets worldwide. Steve serves as a board member of Employers Mutual Casualty Insurance Company, board member of the Iowa Association of Business and Industry (ABI), president and board member of the Iowa Scottish Rite Masonic Foundation, and board member of the UCC Endowment. Steve is an active member of Plymouth Congregational Church, co-founder of the Transition-Into-Ministry program, and member of multiple non-profit and service organizations. 

Prior to founding BCC Advisers in 1990, Steve had a 13-year career with Bankers Trust Company providing commercial, real estate, and consumer lending as a senior officer, as well as managing the retail banking division. Steve earned his B.S. and M.B.A. from Drake University. He is a licensed Iowa & Missouri real estate broker.
