Ward Wickwire

Biography

Ward has more than 30 years of hands-on experience in mergers and acquisitions, new ventures, patent licensing and research and development. During his career, Ward has spearheaded over 50 acquisition, divestiture or licensing projects with a specialty in intellectual property issues related to acquisitions and divestitures. A number of transactions he led involved foreign buyers or sellers and some were collaborations with other M&A firms. He joined Mertz Associates in 1989, and prior to that he served as director-corporate development of Inryco, a construction subsidiary of Inland Steel Company. While there, he launched a new division and led another as general manager. He also is past chairman and past president of IMAP. More recently, he served as Managing Director of AICA from its inception until December, 2016. Having left full service deal making, he is now active in raising an impact investment fund focusing on the water industry and serves as a Senior Advisor to a middle market investment banking firm.
