Elizabeth-Anne Bergin

Biography

Elizabeth-Anne Bergin (B.A/LLB) (UNSW) is a former lawyer in the Commonwealth Attorney-General's Department and has worked for Australia's Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet and Australia's Foreign Affairs Department on its aid program with Indonesia.  Ms Bergin has an interest in helping Australian businesses expand their overseas engagement and export markets, in particular in the agribusiness, technology and property sectors.  She also has a particular interest in smart cities, the IoT and the growing digitisation of businesses.  Through AFG Venture Group, she is able to provide corporate advisory and investment banking services such as divestments, mergers and acquisitions and capital raisings. 
 
Ms Bergin is skilled in Negotiation, Business Development, Import/Export Operations, Strategic Partnerships, and Legal Issues. A strong professional with a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) focused in International Law and Political Science from UNSW Australia.
 

Ms Bergin also assists the fundraising efforts of a number of not-for-profits, including Opera Australia, the Children's Cancer Institute and the Greek Young Matrons' Association. She is also a director of Outcomes Australia (Better Off) a not-for-profit organisation for change, working to reverse the trend of obesity in Australia. Ms Bergin is a mother of three children and is married to Senator the Hon Arthur Sinodinos A.O.
