Sherman is a seasoned leader in corporate strategy, board governance, and executive mentorship, with a distinguished career spanning over 25 years across diverse industries. His expertise has led him to hold senior appointments in global strategy, marketing, human capital, and product development with internationally recognized brands and Global 500 companies, including Citigroup, HSBC, and Westpac.
Currently, Sherman is actively engaged in deeptech, new energy, and corporate advisory. He serves as the Chief Innovation and Strategic Officer for a new energy company in Australia and holds the role of Principal Advisor at AFG Venture Group. He also chairs the Advisory Boards of Hello Ride and EziStreat in Australia.
Beyond corporate leadership, Sherman plays a pivotal role in fostering innovation and venture creation, collaborating with The Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation of Australia (CSIRO) and Defence Science and Technology Group (DSTG). Additionally, he provides strategic guidance to Asian private family wealth offices, government agencies, and some of South East Asia’s largest corporations, including Telkom Group of Indonesia, KIDO Group of Vietnam, and Charoen Pokphand Group of Thailand.
Sherman is deeply committed to education, economic empowerment, autism awareness, inclusion, and critical thinking, supporting numerous organizations and initiatives. His academic background encompasses business, economics, psychology, and human resources, and he is a fellow of the Asialink Leaders program.
Outside of his professional endeavors, Sherman enjoys motorsports, tennis, high-fidelity audio, gastronomy, and horology.
