Carlos Manuel Martínez Díez

Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Business Administration (Universidad Pontificia de Comillas – ICADE E3). Has worked and led the mergers and acquisitions (M&A) team at BNP Paribas for 10 years, based in Colombia since 2009 (with previous experiences in Paris, Mexico, and NY). He participated in and successfully closed over 20 transactions (totaling USD10bn), many of which required strong execution capability (results-oriented), team coordination, and constant client support. He served as Regional Director of the Andean Region for the Santalucia Group, a board director at Grupo Prever, CI Antillana S.A., Textiles Omnes S.A., and 7 Colinas S.A.S., as well as a member of the National Network of Investor Angels of the Bavaria Foundation (participating in various startups). Since 2017 leads MD Banca de Inversion, investment banking boutique focused in the Colombian middle market.
